This is a private showing of the movie Wicked 2:For Good, specially scheduled for COVID conscious people- hooray! We will be the only people in the entire theater except for one theater worker who will let us in, and they will be masked as well. The theater holds about 100 people, and I will cap attendance at 30 people to allow for distancing. Ages 8+.
PRECAUTIONS
Well fitted KN94, N95 or p100 masking is required the entire duration of the show, no exhausts or SIP valves. There is no eating or drinking during the show, and if you need to remove your mask for any reason, please leave the theater to do so. Only one employee will be present, they will also be masked. No one will have been in the theater since the night before. We will be in a theater with vastly more capacity, so you can space out. We will also add 2 air purifiers to the theater.
ACCESSIBILITY
All of the theaters are at least partially accessible by wheelchair. All of the theaters have some percentage of seating that has stairs and is not wheelchair accessible, but all have designated wheelchair areas with seats that the end armrest raises. Our bathrooms and front doors are also wheelchair accessible. Academy has 2 kinds of closed captioning devices, a small monitor that attaches to the cupholder on the armrest and discreetly plays captions on a small screen or glasses that project the captions onto the glass, or headphones that amplify the sound of the movie or deliver a descriptive audio track or both. Closed captioning and descriptive audio tracks are available for most movies, but they are not available for some, especially our classic repertory films.
PLEASE BE COURTEOUS
This movie will begin at 9:30am, sharp, and we’re closing the doors as soon as the movie starts, so please consider time for parking and traffic when planning to arrive. The movie is 2 hours and 18 minutes and the theater has graciously shaved off previews and credits so we can get in and out before doors open for regular showings at 12:15. (Regular customers will come in the front at 12:15, we’re leaving out the back.) Please thank the theater staff. Also, and I can not stress this enough, please do not sing along to the movie, no matter how good your voice is.
TERMS
These tickets are non-refundable, but you can transfer them to someone else. If you arrive after 9:30am, you won’t be able to get in, and forfeit the ticket.
FINANCIAL TRANSPARENCY
The theater charges $250 for the first 38 attendees, and $6.50 for each attendee thereafter. We determined the cost of tickets based on how many people expressed interest in the event, so we meet the minimum, and any additional funds (minus Paypal fees) will go towards offset tickets at future events for attendees where cost is a barrier. There is no profit on these events.
