SUMMARY:Wicked 2: For Good Movie Showing
DESCRIPTION:This is a private showing of the movie Wicked 2:For Good\, specially scheduled for COVID conscious people- hooray! We will be the only people in the entire theater except for one theater worker who will let us in\, and they will be masked as well.  The theater holds about 100 people\, and I will cap attendance at 30 people to allow for distancing. Ages 8+. \nPRECAUTIONS\nWell fitted KN94\, N95 or p100 masking is required the entire duration of the show\, no exhausts or SIP valves. There is no eating or drinking during the show\, and if you need to remove your mask for any reason\, please leave the theater to do so. Only one employee will be present\, they will also be masked. No one will have been in the theater since the night before. We will be in a theater with vastly more capacity\, so you can space out. We will also add 2 air purifiers to the theater. \nACCESSIBILITY\nAll of the theaters are at least partially accessible by wheelchair. All of the theaters have some percentage of seating that has stairs and is not wheelchair accessible\, but all have designated wheelchair areas with seats that the end armrest raises. Our bathrooms and front doors are also wheelchair accessible. Academy has 2 kinds of closed captioning devices\, a small monitor that attaches to the cupholder on the armrest and discreetly plays captions on a small screen or glasses that project the captions onto the glass\, or headphones that amplify the sound of the movie or deliver a descriptive audio track or both. Closed captioning and descriptive audio tracks are available for most movies\, but they are not available for some\, especially our classic repertory films. \nPLEASE BE COURTEOUS\nThis movie will begin at 9:30am\, sharp\, and we’re closing the doors as soon as the movie starts\, so please consider time for parking and traffic when planning to arrive. The movie is 2 hours and 18 minutes and the theater has graciously shaved off previews and credits so we can get in and out before doors open for regular showings at 12:15. (Regular customers will come in the front at 12:15\, we’re leaving out the back.) Please thank the theater staff. Also\, and I can not stress this enough\, please do not sing along to the movie\, no matter how good your voice is. \nTERMS\nThese tickets are non-refundable\, but you can transfer them to someone else. If you arrive after 9:30am\, you won’t be able to get in\, and forfeit the ticket. \nFINANCIAL TRANSPARENCY\nThe theater charges $250 for the first 38 attendees\, and $6.50 for each attendee thereafter. We determined the cost of tickets based on how many people expressed interest in the event\, so we meet the minimum\, and any additional funds (minus Paypal fees) will go towards offset tickets at future events for attendees where cost is a barrier. There is no profit on these events.

SUMMARY:Sunday at Oregon Historical Society
DESCRIPTION:For almost 2 hours\, we will be the only guests at the Oregon Historical Society (see the list of exhibits here)\, except for staff and security\, who will be wearing n95 Auras. It’s a large space (three floors) and we’ll have the run of it.  Amazingly\, tickets are free for anyone under 17 or who lives in Multnomah County or those with SNAP benefits\, under the Museums for All program. For everyone else\, they are discounted. Since the museum will staff based on how many attend\, please only get a free ticket unless you plan to be there the day of.  Paid tickets are refundable so long as you request a refund before 5/15. \nPrecautions: This is an ages 2 and up event. All attendees must wear well fitting N95 or KN95 masks\, no sip valves or vents\, please. There is no food or drinks being vended nor brought in. Unmasked people will have been in the building the night before\, but we are the only people in the building Sunday morning. \nAccommodations:  OHS’s front entrance is accessible to wheelchairs and strollers via the ramp located at 1200 SW Park Avenue. A limited number of manual wheelchairs are available at no charge and can be reserved at the admissions desk on a first-come\, first-served basis. All of our galleries and our research library are accessible by elevator.  Restrooms are located on Levels 1 and 2 of the museums and all have accessible stalls. There are two single-occupancy gender-neutral restrooms available on Level 2. One is located behind the admissions desk\, and the other is located near the Community Mezzanine Gallery. There are two additional single-occupancy\, gender-neutral restrooms available to researchers in the library on Level 4. Service animals are welcome in the museum. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)\, service animals are defined as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. Pets are not permitted. \nTicket terms: Tickets are free for anyone under 17 or who lives in Multnomah County or those with SNAP benefits\, under the Museums for All program. You will need a piece of mail\, ID\, a utility bill or anything else that shows your name and zip code to show that you live in Multnomah County when you arrive at the museum.
