A Repository for COVID Conscious Living in Portland, Oregon
We’re taking our events on the road! Join us in Phoenix, Arizona for a night of collage with Amanda Hawkins, a longtime professional designer. You’ll be working on your own project, alongside other COVID Cautious folks.
The event will be held at a restaurant in CenPho, which is closed Mondays, so no one will have been in the space since Sunday night. The capacity for the place is about 60, but we’ll limit this event to 16 people. We’ll be the only people in the space in addition to one staff person who will wear an N95. There will be two additional high powered air purifiers.
Attendees must wear a well fitted KN94, N95 or p100 mask, no valves or sip valves, please. Everyone will sit at a long table together, so you will be sitting near other masked folks. Do not come if you are experiencing symptoms of any kind, and if you regularly experience symptoms due to allergies, please test the afternoon before coming. If anyone appears to have symptoms, we will ask you to leave, and if you are wearing a mask that appears baggy, has a vent, or isn’t atleast a KN94, we will ask you to swap it for one that is. My events don’t remove all risk, there’s no way to do that. But I try very hard to accommodate as many people as I can, while creating avenues for safer get togethers.
The restaurant is fully ADA accessible. There are no steps to get into the building or in the building itself, there is ADA parking in the lot, and the bathroom also meets ADA standards. As a practice of collaging, you may want to use scissors, glue, paint, pastels, pencils, etc which may prove difficult if you experience dexterity issues, but none of these modalities are requirements. If you require accommodations, please just let me know and we’ll try our best to figure it out.
This event is not-for-profit, meaning the cost of tickets cover the expenses, nothing more, and we strive to make the event as inexpensive as possible. Additionally, we’ve made 30% of tickets $1, for community members for whom cost is a barrier.
