August 30-31, 2025
Beaverton & Portland, Oregon
An entire weekend of masked events, community
building and living for COVID conscious singles,
families & seniors from the Pacific Northwest.
“I can actually relax & enjoy myself”
This is the feedback we’ve gotten from previous CC events. When you’re surrounded, securely, by people who take masking and precautions seriously, you can focus on having fun. What if you had a whole weekend of that feeling, while meeting people outside your local circle of CC friends.

At any time, there’s more than one activity to choose from.
We tried to program events for introverts & extroverts, families & singles, all ages, folks at different budgets & ensured all events are fully ADA accessible.

Nature Walk in Beaverton
Sat. Aug 30 | 11am – 12:30pm
Kick off the weekend with a low-intensity nature walk. Your host will meet you at the trailhead for an hour long, 2.2 mile loop at Tualatin Hills Nature Park. This is a mostly flat walk on mostly paved paths, with only 50ft in slow elevation the whole time. This all ages group is appropriate for any level of fitness, with no walker left behind. All walkers will remain masked the whole walk, and should be aware that there will be other walkers present on the trail.

Bowling, Arcade & Laser Tag in Beaverton
Sat. Aug 30 | 12pm – 3pm
We’ve reserved SuperPlay in Beaverton, Oregon for our group. We have the entire 400 person capacity space to ourselves (no more than 175 tickets sold). All ticketholders have three hours of unlimited bowling, with shoe rental. You can upgrade your ticket to include unlimited arcade games and/or unlimited laser tag. All staff will be wearing 3M Auras. There is no food or drink in the building, however, SuperPlay will set up outdoor dining so you will be able to order food and eat it outside, at well spaced tables.

Tabletop Gaming in Tualatin
Sat. Aug 30 | 6:30-9:30pm
If you’re looking for a nerdier evening, we will be hosting a night of tabletop gaming in Beaverton. Run by two genuine game geeks, we’ll have a big, open indoor space with tables, chairs and air purifiers. We are the only people in the building except for 2 staff people who will wear N95s throughout the evening. The building is fully accessible. We’ll host all kinds of games, based on the tickets bought below.

So Alive Dance Party in Portland
Sat. Aug 30 | 8 – 11pm
Saturday night join DJ Olivia Mutant-John, host of @electriqueboutiqueradio as they spin in SE PDX a mix of 80s dance/Paradise Garage inspired/four-on-the-floor shows. We have the whole 5000sq foot space to ourselves. This event is for folks 18 and over. Inside, there’s plenty of seating in addition to dance space. If you need to unmask, you can do so by stepping outside. We’ll have water available outside as well. No food or alcohol.

Activity Night at the Campground in Sherwood
Sat. Aug 30 | 8pm – 10pm
If you’re looking for a low key If dancing or gaming isn’t your thing, we’ve got a low intensity night planned at the campground, whether you’re camping or not. Enjoy camp snacks, games, and maybe a movie under the stars. It is expected that attendees over the age of 2 will mask while in attendance. This event is free, but we ask you to RSVP.

Family Fun Hour in Tualatin
Sun. Aug 31 | 10am – 2pm
If you’re looking for a low key event for your family, we will be gathering at the Tualatin parks. We’ve rented a covered picnic space, and will have some activity toys for kids to play with. The park itself is still open to the public, so you can and should expect unmasked folks to be within walking distance. It is expected that attendees over the age of 2 will mask while in attendance. This event is free, but we ask you to RSVP.

Goat Farm Visit in Sherwood
Sun. Aug 31 | 10am – 12pm
BABY GOATS. We will be the only folks at the home of Portland Goat Parties, where there are 18 acres of animals, including ducklings, pea fowl, kittens, chicks and….yes, baby goats. We are allowed to wander on our own and interact with all the animals on this accessible farm. One staff (the farmer) will be present, wearing an N95 mask when within 30 feet of us (and was happy to do so).

Travel & Lodging
We hope that if you live in Oregon, Washington or Northern California, you’ll consider driving in. We actively discourage you from flying or other crowded forms of transportation. Please consider the safety of others in the choices you make while traveling. Carpool with other attendees, and consider testing. While in Oregon, we have worked to create multiple safer lodging options.

RV or Tent Camping in Sherwood
Most of us have relied on camping as the most COVID safe lodging option (and cheapest!). We’ve secured a private, 20 acre campground in Sherwood, Oregon that can accommodate tents and RV’s. Each group will have their own site, well spaced in the golden pasture, with paths connecting them, and access to the cooking platform, with a barbeque and seating. No other groups will be placed within acres of us. The site is located up a private road, surrounded by other private land. Your camp host, Kim, is COVID cautious and will help ensure you’ve got what you need. Service animals only.

Motel Rooms that open to the outside
I have secured single king and double rooms to the Best Western, West Beaverton. A limited number of their rooms have doors that open directly to the outside (the rest have interior hallways, though “rooms with a view” have a double sliding door to a patio in the room. These rooms range from 145-170 plus tax, and are set aside for Friday and/or Saturday night.

Budget Hotel rooms that opens to the outside
If you’d rather not camp, but are looking for a more affordable motel option, we’re recommending the Motel 6 in Tigard. We’ve visited and confirmed doors open to the outside, and rates start at $89/night plus tax.

A park of Tiny Homes in Portland
Portland has a series of tiny homes in a community, all for nightly rentals. Rates start at $188/night plus tax.

A more comfortable room that opens to the outside
Though it requires a 2 night stay, the Original Jupiter Hotel in Portland is a renovated motor lodge with rooms that open to the outside, each with independent A/Cs. Room rates start at $155/night, but require that 2 night minimum. Ensure you book the Jupiter Original not the Jupiter NEXT.
Your safety is the top priority
Masking
At each venue, all attendees will commit to wearing N94/N95 masks or better, without valves or modifications like SIP valves. We are the only attendees at any event venue unless specifically mentioned in the listing, and any staff in the building are committed to wearing 3M Auras that will be provided to them. While some events will accommodate unmasked children under 2, it will be clearly outlined in the event description, and the event has been designed to offer space further away from unmasked kids if you are more medically vulnerable.
Air flow
For indoor events, every attempt has been made to increase airflow, either by choosing venues that are overly large and keeping capacity to less than half, choosing venues that have sides that can open, and adding air purifiers to the space.
Testing
Though we are not requiring testing for any event, we ask (and expect) that COVID cautious folks will not attend events if they are experiencing any symptoms, and if they routinely experience symptoms due to allergies or other conditions, will actively test throughout the weekend, preferably with molecular tests.
Social distancing
All vendors have been met in person, and clearly understand the nature of the event and safety of attendees. We have only engaged with vendors who are wildly enthusiastic and supportive (and when possible, are taking precautions themselves).
How we’re attempting to create some equity
Ticket prices
Events cost money, and that’s unavoidable. We’ve tried to find the most affordable event venues we can, and then have offset costs where we can through donations. This is used to either lower the ticket price for everyone, or to set aside tickets at a much lower price point. We’ve also created a free event option at each time slot, where the costs have been covered by donations.
Accomodations
While everyone has different abilities and challenges, we know many folks who are COVID cautious have complicated layers of sometimes unpredictable needs and roadblocks. We wanted to create opportunities for all kinds of folks who practice precautions. Some events require more exertion, such as camping, dancing or walking. In those cases, we’ve provided alternatives, such as other lodging, built in a non-active part to the activity that you could attend, and there are entirely other activities to attend at that time slot.
Accessibility
We’ve also personally visited each venue to inspect how accessible they are. We’ve taken videos and walked the event from the moment you get out of your car, how you access the curb, the event itself, the bathrooms and any other challenge you might find. You’ll find those videos on the event pages.
Improving
We are not, nor is this event perfect. We are trying with positive intent, and as long as you approach us with respect and grace, we will do our earnest best to help you attend this event, no matter what challenges you might have. You are a wanted part of this community.

Financial disclosure
This event is financially underwritten by 1 individual without any official organization or business backing. We have secured the most affordable venues we can, and have sought to reduce costs wherever possible.
In each event’s case, the amount of the event has been divided by the number of projected attendees, and that (plus paypal fees) determines ticket price.
We have also received donations to the overall event in amounts between $100-500 dollars, and that has been used to offset costs in two ways: to reduce the price of every ticket at a specific event, or to offer a set number of low cost tickets. Click here to donate.
Additional donations will be used to offer additional low cost tickets or accommodations for those for whom cost is a barrier.
Any additional funds made from the event will go towards free tickets at future events in the Portland area.
There is no profit margin, the financial sponsor will make up shortfalls, which are projected, and pay taxes on all received funds out of pocket.
